Coast Guard Auxiliary Association
As part of that responsibility the board of the Association has developed a vision, a mission statement, and a set of strategic imperatives and tactics for 2004-2006 as well as a comprehensive business plan (links in Adobe PDF).
About the Association:
The corporation, also known as "CGAuxA", conducts affairs related to the National Board of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary but is a separate legal entity.
CGAuxA is authorized to receive excess Coast Guard property, receive boating safety grants and accept other items for appropriate purposes. As such it can hold title to real and personal property for use by the Auxiliary in the performance of its missions. CGAuxA may accept grants and funding which cannot be given directly to Auxiliary units. It may also obtain and hold copyrights, trademarks and service marks. It may provide for the ownership of motor vehicles, aircraft, boats and mobile trailers. CGAuxA also operates the Auxiliary Center (AUXCEN) which stocks Auxiliary peculiar items, certain uniform accessories and public education materials that are available for sale through the district material officers (DSO-MA).
