May 2006 Flag Conference Briefing

Commandant Flag Conference Briefing on the Auxiliary (11NOV05)
Presented to the Coast Guard flag officers in earlier this month, this briefing updates the Coast Guard on the State of the Auxiliary since their last briefing in the summer. As you will note, it stresses to the Coast Guard the importance of mission blending and balance, as well as the importance of Recreational Boating Safety. Likewise, it calls for their support and involvement in the overall planning process, identifying expectations and gaps. (The brief consists of a presentation and a remarks document)
